Carl Sandburg College offering new 'green' program

Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg is offering a new biofuel technology program starting this fall.

The two-year program is meant to prepare graduates for jobs in the renewable energy or manufacturing sectors. Basic coursework is online while laboratory exercises are at Sandburg’s Main Campus.
The program comes from a $680,000 grant from the Illinois Green Economy Network. Sandburg is one of 17 schools getting grants to provide green education options like the new biofuel technology program.
