Peoria is once again an All-America City thanks to a local group. The Peoria Chamber’s Young Professionals Organization of Greater Peoria made the announcement Sunday. The organization is responsible for submitting the application for the honor. It brought a delegation of more than 30 people to make a presentation about the city to the National Civic League in Denver.
The group also won an award for its video that featured Peoria and about 500 people. The video received more than 20-thousand views and 18-hundred likes.
This is the fourth time the city has received the All-America City award. The last time Peoria won was in 1989.
