Peoria Public Radio’s Outside the Horseshoe is going on indefinite hiatus. The 6:00p.m. precursor to the station’s live coverage of Peoria City Council Meetings has served well in that capacity for more than a decade. But with the station’s change to all news and information, city issues and policy are covered on a daily basis. In addition, the station provides this coverage on the web and via social media.
The Peoria City Council is also taking its meetings on the road for the remainder of the year while the council chamber is undergoing renovation. This is a good opportunity for Peoria Public Radio to implement these changes, redeploying staff to providing more day to day coverage.
The station remains committed to live carriage of the Peoria City Council meetings starting at 6:20 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month.
Tonight’s Peoria City Council meeting is in Westlake Hall on the campus of Bradley University. Parking is open campus-wide.
