Peoria Players Theatre presents 'Young Frankenstein'

On this week's episode of Out & About, Dr. Mae Gilliland of ArtsPartners of Central Illinois talks with Steve Hausler, director of Young Frankenstein at Peoria Players Theatre.

This musical comedy, based on the cult classic Mel Brooks film, follows Dr. Frederick von Frankenstein as he attempts to reanimate a corpse and prove his grandfather's genius. Steve talks about how this diverse cast brings Brooks' slapstick humor, as well as tap numbers and classic horror spoofing all together on one stage.

Catch it Jan. 30 through Feb. 8 at Peoria Players Theatre.

Mae Gilliland Wright is the host of WCBU's Out & About.
