The Peoria County Health & Human Services building on Sheridan Road opened in January 2025.

Some vital records and vaccinations in Peoria County will cost more, starting next year.

The Peoria County Board of Health on Monday approved new vaccination policy costs and an updated fee schedule for birth and death certificates.

The new vaccination fee schedule will go into effect Jan. 1, calling for the Peoria City/County Health Department to assess fees in accordance with private insurance and Medicare.

The costs and charges will be reviewed quarterly to reflect market changes. Clients will be able to contact the Clinical Services office for details on the current fees.

Additionally, the health department and the Peoria County Clerk will begin charging $20 for birth certificates, as of Feb. 1. Each extra copy will cost $9. The price for a death certificate increases to $24, with a fee of $13 for every additional copy.

The board also updated the health department’s hardship policy, including a sliding fee schedule. The policy will allow the agency to provide vaccines for individuals without insurance and those who cannot afford to pay.
