On this week's episode of Out and About, Dr. Mae Gilliland of ArtsPartners of Central Illinois chats with Maestro George Stelluto of the Peoria Symphony Orchestra about their upcoming concert Handel at the Cathedral.

This intimate Baroque concert takes place November 14 and 15 at the historic St. Mary’s Cathedral in downtown Peoria. With what Maestro Stelluto describes as “the perfect acoustic,” the concert features unique instrumentation including the lute and the rarely seen theorbo — a striking Baroque instrument with a neck nearly five feet long. Audience members can expect a brief demonstration of the theorbo, offering a rare glimpse into the rich textures of this music. It’s a concert not to be missed!

Mae Gilliland Wright is the host of WCBU's Out & About.
