Celebrating the Queen of Rock: Heartland Festival Orchestra’s Tina Turner Tribute

On this week’s Out and About, Dr. Mae Gilliland Wright of ArtsPartners of Central Illinois is joined by David Commanday, conductor of the Heartland Festival Orchestra. They talk about the HFO's exciting upcoming 'A Tribute to Tina Turner' concert taking place Saturday, Jan. 25 in the Peoria Civic Center Ballroom. This special event celebrates the legendary career of Tina Turner through powerful orchestral arrangements and dynamic performances by three outstanding vocalists.

Commanday shares insights into the inspiration behind the concert, how the iconic songs were selected, and the unique table-seating format that promises an immersive audience experience.
