Out and About in Greater Peoria: Two Christmas festivals and a Pentatonix concert

Here are 3 things to do for the weekend of Dec. 6- Dec. 8, 2024, curated by WCBU's Camryn Cutinello. You can find more coverage on our Out & About - Arts & Music page or by subscribing to WCBU's Weekend Fanfare email newsletter, which goes out every Friday.

Connect: The 3rd Annual Christmas in the Village festival is this weekend at the Peoria Riverfront Museum. Enjoy carriage rides, carolers, live animals, a holiday laser light show and more. The festival has local vendors, food trucks, hot chocolate and holiday cocktails. Tickets cover admission for Friday and Saturday and include admission to the museum.

Celebrate: The Tremont Commerce Association will host their 2nd Annual Tremont Hometown Christmas Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. Enjoy activities for all ages including Christmas pretzel decorating, sand art and cookie decorating. A Christmas tree lighting will be held at 5 p.m. Don’t forget to snap a photo with Santa.

Listen: Pentatonix is coming to Peoria Saturday. This a cappella group is known for arrangements that blend vocal harmonies, scat singing, riffing, vocal percussion and beatboxing. The “Hallelujah! It’s a Christmas Tour” will include modern pop songs, Christmas classics and original arrangements. The concert goes from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Peoria Civic Center.
