The Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce’s new leadership revealed a new brand this week.

PACC president and CEO Jessica Linder-Gallo officially started her work in the role in June of this year. She said work on the rebrand has been ongoing for about 1 1/2 years.

That means the rebrand started during her time as vice president of operations at the chamber.

“We really wanted to show a fresh, innovative look to the chamber, something a bit more modern,” said Linder-Gallo. “We wanted it to feel really inclusive and welcoming across all of the branding.”

Linder-Gallo said the project aims to accomplish that by using an open design meant to symbolize being open to new ideas and vibrant colors picked with intention.

“Blue for health care, green for agriculture,” she said. “The pink is, we call it ‘in motion magenta,’ kind of looking at the future of the region.”

The rebranding also includes a new chamber website, set to launch soon, that Linder-Gallo said is meant to be as user friendly and full of resources for area business as possible.

She said new leadership makes it a perfect time for new branding.

“This is something that I was really passionate about doing,” Linder-Gallo said. “And it is going through all levels of our organization. So, all of our programs are getting a little bit of a new look as well.”

One of those facets of the chamber being updated is the suite of training it offers. Linder-Gallo said the organization is focused on developing courses to help prepare local businesses for everything changing legislatively in 2025.

“We’ll also be hosting more blogs and written information on the website about some of those topics,” she said. “We have a bunch of cost-saving programs for businesses and all of that information can be found on the website really easily now.”

Another project Linder-Gallo said is a priority when she took over as CEO is the installation of lighting on Water Street in downtown Peoria. The plan is to make that project a reality in 2025.

“We have started discussions with the city about what the permitting process is going to look like,” she said. “...the state grant funds that are going to support that project have been extended into 2025 to make that happen.”
