Here are 3 things to do for the weekend of Oct. 18- Oct. 20, 2024, curated by WCBU's Camryn Cutinello. You can find more coverage on our Out & About - Arts & Music page or by subscribing to WCBU's Weekend Fanfare email newsletter, which goes out every Friday.
Watch: Friday in Chillicothe, enjoy an outdoor movie night for a good cause. Bring your lawn chair or picnic blanket to Evergreen Senior Living for a showing of Hocus Pocus. The movie is free to watch, starting at 6:30 p.m. A cash concession stand will open at 6 p.m. All funds raised go to the Alzheimer's Association.
Roam: Enter the Haunted Forest Saturday at Universalist Unitarian Church of Peoria. Don’t worry if you’re not a huge fan of horror, the forest is scary enough for brave kids and adults but won’t give you nightmares. The event will also feature tricks and treats, a campfire, tarot readings, witches dance and a Samhain Ritual. Tickets cost $5 a person. Costumes are encouraged.
Ride: Calling all bikers! Show off your motorcycle in East Peoria Sunday at Bikes and Treats in Spinder Park. Bikes will meet outside of Ashley Furniture’s parking lot at 2:15 p.m. for a bike parade. Kids will then trick-or-treat to each biker and vote for their favorite bike. Don’t forget your candy!
