Roam: Fall is just around the corner and the annual Morton Pumpkin Fest is back this weekend to celebrate. This year’s theme is “Pumpkins Run for the Roses.” The event features carnival rides, a pumpkin 10k, a family fun patch and live music. Saturday's schedule includes a pumpkin pancake breakfast in the morning and a pumpkin pie eating contest in the afternoon.
Go: Sunday at the Peoria Riverfront, it’s GO DAY. Kids can head to the Sports Zone for basketball fun with the Harlem Globetrotters' Curley “Boo” Johnson, a batting cage, obstacle courses and inflatables. Arts lovers can view an art showcase and interactive art experiences. There will also be live music and free admission to the Peoria Riverfront Museum. This event is free to attend and goes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Listen: Calling lovers of live music, food trucks and dogs. Woofstock 2024 is this Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m. Dogs are encouraged at this outdoor concert, which also features a silent auction and raffle. Central Illinois band Hindsight will headline the event. Tickets are $20. Kids 12 and under are free.
