A Pekin man is dead after a two-vehicle car crash earlier this month.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said 88-year-old Russel Barnes Jr. was injured in the Sept. 3 crash at North Knoxville and East Elaine avenues in Peoria.
Barnes' vehicle rolled twice and landed on its roof. He died from his injuries on Saturday.
Harwood said Barnes suffered multiple blunt force chest and head injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
