Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley has identified the driver killed in a two-vehicle accident over the weekend.

The coroner's office was called to the scene of the accident at the intersection of Towerline Road and Toboggan Avenue in rural Green Valley Saturday.

Elmer Papenhause of rural Tremont was pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 12:29 p.m. The cause of death is ruled to be multiple blunt force injuries caused by the crash.

Papenhouse, 90, was the sole occupant of his pickup truck. Four occupants from the other pickup truck were taken to a Peoria hospital.

The case is under investigation by the Illinois State Police, Tazewell County Sheriff's Office and the Tazewell County Coroner's Office.
