The Peoria Public Schools board of education is in a state of transition. The board held its annual reorganizational meeting Monday, seating the newly-elected Christina Rose. She replaces Chase Klaus, who didn't run for another five-year term.
Paris McConnell was elected the new school board president. Gregory Wilson will serve as vice president.
Also Monday, Dr. Anni Reinking said in a social media post that she is resigning from the board effective immediately, citing family reasons.
That means there is a second vacancy on the board now, after Michael Murphy resigned last month for a job move. The school board is considering applicants to fill that vacancy now.
