Listen: Tonight, the Water Street Stompers bring the spirit of Mardi Gras to Central Illinois. Head to Steven’s Square in Princeville for Music in the Square, a free concert hosted by the Lillie M. Evans Library District. The Water Street Stompers incorporates sounds from the Caribbean, Africa, France and Spain, as well as Native American chanting. The concert begins at 7 p.m.
Learn: Enjoy a Hop on History tour this Saturday. These 45-minute guided tours are hosted by the Peoria Historical Society. Hop on the bus at the Peoria Riverfront Market at 10:15 a.m. to learn about Peoria’s history, fun facts and latest developments. No reservation is needed. Tours cost $15 (cash only).
Stretch: Sunday morning, relax and stretch at Sunrise Yoga. Set up in the grass near the river and follow the instructor to ground yourself and stretch your body in the fresh morning air. The free class goes from 8 to 8:45 a.m. at Shore Acres Park. Refreshments will be provided after.
