Out and About in Greater Peoria: Morton Fourth Friday, live music and crafting

Here are 3 things to do for the weekend of May 24-26, 2023, curated by WCBU's Camryn Cutinello. You can find more coverage on our Out & About - Arts & Music page or by subscribing to WCBU's Weekend Fanfare email newsletter, which goes out every Friday.

Shop: Tonight, it’s Fourth Friday in Morton. Head downtown to shop, meet local artists and listen to some live music. Check out the local shops and enjoy food from The Station Food Truck. Nikbeats will be playing at the Morton Library from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The event goes from 5 to 8 p.m.

Listen: Enjoy some live music Saturday at Pour Bros. Craft Taproom in Peoria Heights. Sit in the courtyard and enjoy some beer and barbecue while you listen to Avey Grouws Band. This group from the Iowa side of the Quad Cities blends blues, roots, rock and soul in their billboard charting music.

Create: Sunday at Crafted DIY Studio & Bar, enjoy some drinks while you create your next masterpiece. You’ll have the choice of more than 20 crafts including wood working, macrame, concrete and painting. Cocktails, mocktails, beer and wine will be available, with proceeds going to local charities. Reservations are encouraged.
