'Big Fish' prepares to make a big splash at Peoria Players Theatre

On this week's episode of Out and About, Dr. Mae Gilliland Wright of ArtsPartners of Central Illinois talks about Peoria Players Theatre’s upcoming production of Big Fish with director Chip Joyce.

Big Fish tells the larger-than-life tale of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who leads an extraordinary life — according to the stories he tells his son, Will. His fantastical adventures transform his life story into a series of metaphorical tales in order to teach his son important life lessons. As Edward’s final chapter approaches, Will embarks on his own journey to find out who his father really is, revealing the man behind the myth, the truth from the tall tales.

You can see Big Fish May 3-5 and 9-12 at Peoria Players Theatre. For tickets and more information, click here.
