Out and About in Greater Peoria: Live music, New Horizons concert and the St. Patrick's Day Parade

Music inspired by all things Illinois: Head to Tres Rojas Winery tonight for a concert from Peoria band Sarah & The Underground. The independent group specializes in what they call "SoulFolk with a twist of Jazz." The band plays original songs inspired by Illinois. The event starts at 6 p.m. and tickets are $10.

A Grammy winning guest conductor at the PSO: On Saturday, guest conductor Michelle DeYoung joins the Peoria Symphony Orchestra for their New Horizons Concert. The 3-time Grammy winner and vocalist will conduct the first half of the concert. Maestro George Stelluto will lead during the second half with DeYoung performing Gustav Mahler’s Rückert-Lieder. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

St. Patrick's Day Parade: Sunday is St Patrick's Day which means the St. Patrick Society of Peoria will hold its annual parade. Wear your green to enjoy floats from your favorite Peoria organizations. The parade starts at 2 p.m.
