Peoria police say they have no suspect information after a shooting Monday night near Bradley University.

Police were called to the 600 block of North Cooper just after 6:30 p.m. for a report of a person being shot. A man with multiple gunshot wounds was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.

Bradley University police say the man was not affiliated with the school, noting the evidence suggests the victim was targeted, and the shooting was not random.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact BUPD at (309) 677-2000, the Peoria Police Department at (309) 673-4521, tip 411 (anonymously), or Crime Stoppers (anonymously) at (309) 673-9000.
