The Peoria area is getting a dose of winter Sunday with the season's first accumulating snowfall.
The National Weather Service in Lincoln said about 2.8 inches had fallen in Peoria as of 6:15 a.m.
Watch for slick spots on the roadways this morning, particularly on bridges.
A winter weather advisory is in effect until noon Sunday.
