Play volleyball for charity: Looking for a fun way to raise money for a cause? You're in luck because tomorrow there will be a Sand Volleyball Tournament benefiting special needs programming with Illinois River Valley Special Recreation Association. Head on over to Mineral Springs Park to play or watch some sand volleyball.
Live blues music in Peoria: Tomorrow from 5 to 11 p.m. is the 16th annual Blues Blast Music Awards. The lineup of blues performers includes Catchfish Keith, Lady J. Huston, Big Harp George and many more! Tickets are $35 when ordered ahead of the show. Friday's show benefits the Sean Costello Memorial Fund for Bipolar Research.
A concert for gamers: If blues isn't your type of music, don't worry. Tomorrow from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. is the Video Games in Concert performance. This immersive concert will delight classical music fans as well as gamers. There will be segments from Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft, Kingdom Hearts, Metal Gear Solid, Halo, Skyrim, God of War, Caltevania, The Last of Us, Uncharted and more. Performed by the Heartland Festival Orchestra with guest choirs from Illinois Central College.
