Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood has identified the detainee found dead Friday in the Peoria County Jail.
Harwood says 33-year-old Erick Luncsford was found unresponsive, not breathing, and with no pulse. He was pronounced dead in his cell.
An autopsy on Luncsford was inconclusive and is awaiting further study. A Peoria County sheriff's deputy administering CPR suffered an unspecified medical event and was taken to the hospital, but has since recovered.
Luncsford was most recently charged with indirect criminal contempt of court. He also had two open felony domestic battery cases.
The coroner's office and the Illinois State Police are investigating the death.
