Motorcyclist dies after Peoria County crash

A 64-year-old motorcycle rider is dead after a crash with a pickup truck in rural Peoria County.

Sheriff Chris Watkins said the crash happened around 4:20 p.m. on Sunday at Parks School Road and Elliot Road. The motorcycle rider was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, and was later pronounced dead.

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood identified the motorcyclist as 64-year-old William Dean of Chillicothe. He died from multiple blunt force injuries.

The pickup driver was uninjured.

The Brimfield Fire Department responded to the scene. The crash is under investigation.
