The protracted contract negotiations between the Peoria Public Library and its unionized workers may finally find a resolution soon.
AFSCME Local 3464 president Anthony Walraven said workers ratified a tentative agreement on Monday.
The Peoria Public Library's board of trustees is expected to take up the agreement at its meeting next Tuesday.
No further details about the contract agreement were immediately available. Unionized employees have worked under an expired contract since the beginning of the year. Wages were the major point of contention in negotiations.
Talks continued after mediation sessions failed to reach an agreement last month.
