Peoria police say they're investigating after several young dogs were found abandoned on an anchored boat.
Seven emaciated dogs were found in kennels on the 32-foot cabin cruiser docked in the channel near the RiverPlex. One was dead.
The dogs were taken to Peoria County Animal Protective Services. No people were on the boat.
