Police discover body on Peoria Riverfront

Peoria Police discovered a body partially submerged on the Riverfront Monday afternoon.

According to a press release, officers were called to the area near 300 S.W. Water St. around 2:30 p.m. for a body floating in the water. They recovered the body of an adult male. Police pronounced the man deceased on scene.

The Peoria County Coroner will release more information, including identity and cause of death.
