The new Peoria City Council was officially seated during a special meeting Tuesday.
New at-large members Mike Vespa and Bernice Gordon-Young will join re-elected incumbents Zach Oyler, John Kelly, and Kiran Velpula on the horseshoe.
Outgoing council members Beth Jensen and Sid Ruckriegel didn't seek new terms. Jensen first joined the council in September 2013, while Ruckriegel joined in December 2015.
