The East Peoria Fire Department says a house fire Saturday night in the 1100 block of Springfield Road caused extensive damage and left the structure unsafe.
Assistant Chief Dan Decker says the department responded to a single-family home fire around 6 p.m. Neighbors warned the residents about the fire and no injuries were reported.
The damage to the home is described as "extensive" and the remaining structure was declared unsafe and demolished.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
