A Peoria woman was arrested for murder Wednesday after a man was fatally stabbed on the city's South Side.
Peoria police officers responded to a call in the 1900 block of S. Stanley around 1:40 p.m. Officers found 34-year-old Lamario Billups of Peoria critically injured at the scene. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said Billups died of a single stab wound to the chest.
Police later arrested 22-year-old Heaven Kruzan in connection with the man's death. She was taken to the Peoria County Jail.
