A Lowpoint woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning north of Metamora.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said 87-year-old driver Edith Whitfield was involved in the crash at Black Partridge Road and Weidman Road in Woodford County.
She was taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in critical condition, and later died from multiple blunt force injuries and abdominal injuries suffered in the crash.
The status of the other parties involved in the crash wasn't immediately clear. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
