Peoria police have made another arrest in connection with the November murder of 15-year-old Merian Smith.

Police said they pulled over a vehicle Thursday night in the 1200 block of East McClure while searching for a murder suspect. Police say the suspect and two other people were in the vehicle.

The suspect was arrested on murder charges and several other counts after a police interview. The man was a juvenile when the murder happened, police said. His name wasn't released by police.

Erick Jackson, 18, was previously arrested in connection with the murder.

The other two passengers, 19-year-old Breon Smith and a juvenile, were both arrested on numerous charges.
