A woman is dead after a crash north of Chillicothe on Friday afternoon.
Peoria County Sheriff's deputies responded to the one-vehicle crash in the 5900 block of East Hart Lane just after 4:15 p.m.
44-year-old Katie Wright's vehicle left the roadway near a curve. Harwood said her vehicle rolled several times and struck several small trees. She was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene.
Harwood said she died instantly.
