The doors at Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que in Peoria are permanently closing.
The location on North Grand Prairie Drive is owned by Mercedes Restaurants.
Mercedes Restaurants’ Ron Helms said the decision is primarily based on rising costs of food and restaurant operating costs, understaffing issues persisting from the pandemic and increasing competition in the local barbecue market.
The restaurant will end service at the end of the year.
