An 88-year-old Indiana woman is dead after a two-vehicle head-on collision Saturday in Woodford County.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said Barbara Smith of New Haven, Ind. was injured in the crash on U.S. Route 24 east of Eureka and transported in critical condition to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She later died at the hospital from multiple blunt force trauma injuries suffered in the crash. No autopsy is planned.
