Six people were injured after a CityLink bus struck a tree Thursday morning in downtown Peoria.
Peoria Fire Battalion Chief Clint Kuhlman said the bus struck a tree in the 300 block of Harrison just after 11 a.m. Firefighters used the jaws of life to free the driver.
Multiple others on the bus were evaluated at the scene and released.
The crash is under investigation by the Peoria Police Department.
