A person is dead after a crash involving a vehicle early Thursday morning in Peoria's North Valley.
Officers responded to the crash at Jefferson and Abington just after 4 a.m. Police arriving on scene found a person on the ground, later pronounced dead.
The Peoria County Coroner will determine the cause of death.
Peoria Police spokesperson Semone Roth said the driver was still on scene when officers arrived.
The intersection of Jefferson and Abington reopened just after 7 a.m.
