Yellow police tape stretches across a blurry crime scene. It says "Police Line Do Not Cross." The text "WCBU Police and Fire" lays on top of that photo.

The Peoria Police Department is now investigating the city's 8th homicide of 2022 after after a man was found unresponsive in an alley early Monday morning.

Officers were flagged down shortly before 3 a.m. after a citizen found the man in an alleyway in the 1000 block of E. Behrends.
