Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said a man found deceased Tuesday died from cold exposure.

Von Fitzpatrick, 54, was last seen by family on Feb. 2 and reported missing. His body was found in the dugout at the baseball fields at N. Woodruff Boulevard and Nebraska in Peoria on Tuesday afternoon.

Fitzpatrick was pronounced dead at the scene. Harwood said he suffered from prolonged cold exposure outside. There were no signs of trauma, and foul play isn't suspected.
