About 3,000 under boil order in Peoria, Bartonville following water main break

Around 3,000 Illinois American Water customers in Bartonville and Peoria are under a boil order after a water main break.

The main was fixed Wednesday afternoon, but the boil order remains in effect likely through at least Thursday morning.

Limestone Community High School dismissed student at 9 a.m. Wednesday due to the water main break.
