A 72-year-old woman has been struck and killed by a vehicle in Pekin.
At 8:55 p.m. on Sunday, Pekin Police responded to the 2000 block of Broadway Road. A vehicle traveling east stuck the woman who was walking south along the roadway, said police.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and called for help.
The woman, of Pekin, was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
No further details about the incident have been released.
