An Arizona man is dead after he was struck by a pickup truck in Peoria County.
The Illinois State Police said 23-year-old Jonah Koponen of Phoenix, Ariz., was out jogging on Route 29 just after 8:15 a.m. Friday morning when he was struck by a truck driven by a Sparland man heading north.
Koponen was pronounced dead on the scene.
The accident happened near the intersection with Hardscrabble Road.
Any charges are pending an investigation.
