One person is dead after a "t-bone" accident at War Memorial and Sheridan late Saturday night.
First responders were called to the intersection just after 11:30 p.m. The driver of a small sedan was ejected in the crash and found on the ground at the scene. The driver, 17-year-old Jamil Ty Clark, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second occupant of the sedan was taken to a local hospital for an evaluation. The driver of the second vehicle, a SUV, was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The intersection was closed for several hours as Peoria police traffic investigators worked the scene.
