Sybrina Fulton will be the speaker at next January's Martin Luther King Jr. celebration luncheon in Peoria.
Fulton is the mother of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, who was shot and killed by George Zimmerman in Sanford, Fla. in 2012.
Fulton wrote a book sharing Trayvon's story, and is now a national advocate for safer communities, and against violence toward children.
