One person is dead after a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon in rural Deer Creek.
Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley said two vehicles collided in the 29000 block of Cooper Road just after 3:45 p.m.
The driver of one vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The two occupants of the second vehicle declined medical treatment.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday. Hanley is withholding the deceased's name pending family notification.
