Pekin Police Make Arrest In Homicide Case

The Pekin Police Department is investigating after a woman was found dead in a home late Monday evening.

Police responded to the 1200 block of Summer on a report of loud screaming and a woman in need of help.

When officers arrived, a 59-year-old woman was found. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The victim's name is being withheld pending family notification. Pekin Police Officer Billie Ingles said there is no immediate threat to the public at large.

Pekin police arrested Kenneth Turnbow, 66, of 1225 Summer, for the murder of Tracy Turnbow. She died from an apparent gunshot wound.

Pekin Police are now investigating this case as a homicide. 59-year-old Tracie Turnbow of Pekin died of an apparent gunshot wound, police said.
