The 1996 book THE LAST OF THE MARKET HUNTERS by Dale Hamm with David Bakke, has been adapted to a theatrical reading by Phil Funkenbusch. The presentation will be performed in 3 Parts over the next few months. Part One is Thurs.-Fri., Nov. 4-5 at 7pm in downtown Havana at Stella Mae's Coffee Shop, performed by 5 actors. Dale Hamm, 1916-2001, was a well-known duck-hunter in the area. His book is filled with stories and adventures from the 1920's-1970s about his life around the Illinois River.
