Yellow police tape stretches across a blurry crime scene. It says "Police Line Do Not Cross." The text "WCBU Police and Fire" lays on top of that photo.

Peoria police are investigating the city's 10th reported homicide of 2022.

Police were called the 1000 block of W. McClure just before 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday on a report of a shooting.

Officers on scene found a man with a gunshot wound. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood identified the victim as 32-year-old Michael Davis, Jr. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
