The film version of Jonathan Harr's bestseller "A Civil Action" opens this Friday nationwide. The book details the legal battle between lawyer Jan Schlichtmann and the multinational corporations accused of polluting the drinking water of Woburn, Mass., - and accused of causing the cancer deaths of a number of Woburn's children. Monica Brady of member station WBUR in Boston recently visited Woburn, which is bracing for a fresh wave of publicity with the film's release.
