North Korea May Accept Defection

Robert talks with Selig Harrison, a guest scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington and the author of The Widening Gulf: Asian Nationalism and American Policy (Free Press, 1978). They discuss the advantages of defusing the tension between North and South Korea which have emerged following the defection of a high-ranking North Korean official to South Korea...and what a reconciliation of the two nations would do for the North.
