NPR's Philip Davis reports from London on a debate over the fate of 33-hundred frozen embryos in Britain. The embryos were set aside by hundreds of couples five years ago as part of a fertility treatment known as in vitro fertilization. Since then, the clinics have lost touch with the embryo donors - the would be parents. British law says the embryos can be kept for only five years... that anniversary comes up next week.
